Launch Africa returns the cash

Eleven exits, a 6.5x on Flutterwave, and, rarest of all, money actually back in investors' pockets.

Zach George and Launch Africa Ventures did the thing the venture industry waits years for and almost never sees: they returned real money to their investors. About $2.5M, roughly 7% of the fund, off eleven exits, including a 6.5x on Flutterwave.

In a market that has spent two years being told African technology was a mirage, this is the rebuttal. Not a headline valuation. Not a paper markup that looks good in a deck and dies in a down round.

Distributions. Cash. The kind you can actually spend.

It is a good result for George, and a timely one for an entire continent's technology scene, which could use the win. George, for the record, is worth watching.
