A city missed, and an avocado lost
The week's smaller heartbreaks, faithfully recorded.
Two items from the notebook this week, both filed under things that matter more than they should.
First: Ghita misses London, badly, and went fully nostalgic about it this week. The city, for its part, is keeping her seat warm. Some absences are just leases waiting to be renewed.
Second, and this desk hesitates even to type it: Pierre has moved house. Heroically. Tragically. Without his avocado.
We mourn the avocado. 🥑
Donations of guacamole-adjacent sympathy may be directed to Pierre at his new address, which does not have an avocado in it. ■
